Tell you what- Rode a 450 In Los Angeles, sounded like a typewriter- I never Tach’ed out more than 5K- was never even CLOSE to an accident- it’s in the way you ride, the time you ride, and the routes that you take.
Get away from the grocery getters, and when you’re within 5 miles of home get up on the bike and get careful- that’s where accidents happen!

sorry bud loud pipes do save lives… people are dumb and dont look around them, all my friends with cbr’s have had allot more problems on the road then my harley. This week we had Two! motorcycle accidents in one day from day dreaming drivers. Bolth riders were riding quite sportbikes. I feel a hell of allot saver rolling through an intersection knowing that people can here me and know im coming through. skull caps are more maneuverable and dont feel like a fuckin sail.

Actually it uses lithium batteries which are made of nontoxic mineral salt and require no smelting during manufacture or recycling. It’s other, older battery types like NiMH and lead acid that were bad for the environment.

a solar panel in place of the engine panels would be a great idea

this seams to be a great short distance bike. if it wasnt for the distance that i travel i would really consider purchasing it. but untill the battery is capable of lasting for more than a 45 mile round trip i could not personaly use it. though it is almost the perfect option for those who ride in the city. while living there i wouldnt think you would be traveling more than 2 or 3 miles on the average day to get where you’re going.

it’s a beautiful motorcycle, but the limited range maybe more of a put off than the price to some. a beautiful and affordable EV

i think its a great bike for $8000, not only is it good for the mother earth. its easy on your wallet too. think about the fuel money you save, oil change, filter, spark plugs and what not. Yea the battery is probably not good for the environment, but it could last 10 years. think about all the oil you go through in a combustion engine.

7gs for something that doesnt cost more then 2gs to make yeah id say thats fair.if you want to domonate over gas you have to make it cheaper then a gas bike would cost becouse for the range that a ebike gets at 7 gs ppl are going to still use gas simply for the range and the ease of refueling.you watch someone is going to design and awsome ebike and sell it cheap and MAKE A MINT!!!that you can take to the bank.Hell i might just do that!

This is true, but I said cut the price in half, which would have been $5995. I still think it’s over price for it’s performance. Brammo needs to make a couple more leaps in either price or performance before this bike is viable to your average motorcycle joe.

spo123328: “no it won’t, we do not control global warming, what we do is only a drop in the bucket, [...] electric cars will most liekly not stop global warming, there are other big factors, like jumbo jets, and cargo ships” There are hundreds of millions of dinosaur fuel vehicles in the US alone. How many jumbo jets and cargo ships are there? I’m not disagreeing with you; I’m saying what you are saying (and indeed, what I’m saying) is way too casual and not rigorous enough.

I just test rode the Brammo Enertia at Best Buy in El Segundo. WOW!!! It felt sort of like a scooter speed wise up to 30 mph but when it hit 40 mph it jumped right up to 60+ mph way faster than traffic. I put a bit over 4 miles on it and used almost 10% of the charge. In my garage at home I have a electric Lepton scooter and a Buell XB12s. The Brammo felt right in between – I want one! Anybody looking for a killer deal on my reliable Italian electric Lepton?

or they could simply take a best high selling budget (but quality) bike like the YBR125, or CG125, and just make an electic bike to that formula, and they’d have a huge market right there. But problem is they are aiming at a group of people who dont have much money (if they do that), hence they ride those bikes; the bikers with lots of cash want large cruisers or neck-jerking sports, and so, I guess they cant appeal to either large groups. shame. This tech needs to get cheaper and better.
