#848 – Thermaltake LANBOX Lite SFF Case Video Review
“The Thermaltake LANBOX Lite SFF Case really stands alone in many respects. One feature that really sets it apart from the many other small form factor cases (SFF) that are on the market is it’s capable of an NVIDIA SLI Video Card setup. This will attract hardware gamers because it means you don’t have to sacrifice performance when building a small form factor rig. Another big draw is the modular chassis. The power supply mount, external drive bay cage, internal drive bay cage and motherboard tray can be removed. It’s an amazing design because the computer components can be installed or removed outside the case. Watch the video to find out more and check out the bloopers at the end.” ~3dGameMan.com

The 8800′s were about 9 inches right? So a 470 wouldn’t fit in this case(9 1/2 inches)?

@mrRocstar96 He tells you in the video, standard ATX power supply.

“..if you’re a hardcore gamer, & tanning..”
LOL love the outtakes, & excellent review. I’m more curious about these “small form factor cases” since it’s possible to achieve optimal quiet/cooling status along with a fitted video card.

You can mount it where you would normally put a floppy drive.

uh… but if I remove the hard drive cage for SLI Cards, what will hold the hard drive? or do I have to do some customizing to mount the hardrive?
July 17th, 2010 at 11:36
I think I’m going to use this for my new custom build

Does anyone know if other than the lack of handle and minus 1 window and the different placements of power buttons, usb audio etc is the lite version have less space than the Thermaltake LANBOX w/handle? I am torn between the two.want smaller case but the measurements on the outside nearly identical neone tried both cases? $30 diffrence too not that bad but need to know what will provide better space airflow.HELP!!!!

July 17th, 2010 at 14:55
yes
July 17th, 2010 at 15:12
I was wondering that too. well not the 5770 but 5750 close to the same.

If the card’s length is less than ~9″, then yes. Rodney did mentioned about removing the internal HDD cage about this. The most lengthy of cards are the X2 models (where 2GPUs are mounted on the same card).
